Qualifications

Required

  • Responsible and dedicated individual

  • Experience working with the elderly (one year minimum)

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to problem-solve quickly

Preferred

  • Valid caregiver certification

  • Valid first-aid and CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Assist with walking and light exercise

  • Plan and prepare meals

  • Make beds and change linens

  • Perform light housekeeping tasks (e.g., dusting, vacuuming, taking out the garbage)

  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming

  • Handle laundry and ironing

  • Run errands (e.g., picking up prescriptions, dry cleaning)

  • Engage in physical and mental exercises (e.g., games, memory books)

  • Maintain calendar and organize mail

  • Monitor medications and update health charts

  • Document and report any changes in client health status

  • Ensure client safety and well-being
