Caring Company was founded in 2000 by Joanna Harley. After personally caring for her aging parents, Joanna recognized that many individuals struggle without adequate support — and that families are often left navigating that challenge alone.
That experience gave her a clear mission: to create a company where others facing similar circumstances could find reliable, compassionate help. What started as a personal calling became a professional commitment to the community.
Janet Centers joined as a partner from the very beginning, bringing the same deep understanding. Like Joanna, Janet had cared for her own aging parents, giving both women a first-hand understanding of what families truly need in difficult times.
Since 2006, Janet has been the sole operator of Caring Company, carrying that founding commitment forward unchanged.
She applies a deeply personal standard when selecting caregivers: "Would I trust this person to care for my own parents?" Her dedication to finding quality caregivers and prioritizing client satisfaction forms the foundation of everything Caring Company does.
